The Grit Guard® Insert
The Grit Guard has no flat surfaces for dirt or grit to sit on. Once dirt and grit fall to the bottom of the bucket, the water is broken into four quadrants, where the water stays calm, keeping the dirt and grit at the bottom. More importantly, the Grit Guard is an agitator for your washing towel, releasing the dirt, grit, grime, and contaminants, providing Scratch-Free Cleaning of your vehicles finish.

Which bucket should I place my Grit Guard Insert in?
Both! You should have a Grit Guard Insert in each bucket, to double the protection against scratches and swirl marks. Be sure and agitate your washing towel on the Grit Guard Insert every time you go to the bucket.
If you only have one Grit Guard, it’s best to place it in the rinse bucket. Once again, be sure and rub the washing towel on the Grit Guard every time you dip into the rinse bucket. When the washing towel is in the water, the fibers are free and relaxed, but in order to extract the trapped particles the washing towel needs to be agitated. By rubbing it on the surface of the Grit Guard, dirt, grit and other contaminants are extracted, keeping your paint scratch free. Then you would go to the bucket with the soap, keeping that bucket clean from dirt and grit.
How much water is under the Grit Guard?
About 3.75 litres [.83 Imp.Gallon] are under the Grit Guard Insert.
Does the Grit Guard fit any bucket?
The Grit Guard fits any standard 3.5, 4, 5, 6, and 7 U.S. gallon bucket. However, if you grew up in the Metric system that isn't much help, but sometimes merchants still sell in gallons either in the U.S. gallon system or the Imperial gallon system, which Canada used to measure volume.
3.5 U.S. gallons = 13.249 Litres or almost 3 Imperial gallons.
5 U.S. gallons = 18.927 Litres or 4.166 Imperial gallons.
6 U.S. gallons = 22.712 Litres or almost 5 Imperial gallons.
7 U.S. gallons = 26.498 Litres or 5.83 Imperial gallons.

Z-3 Show Car Polish for Regular Paint
Description: Z-3 for non-clear coated regular paint offers the wettest looking and deepest finish you can imagine, making it look like you have a clear coat! With the same synthetic technology as Z-2, Z-3 is formulated to meet the needs of standard paints, which tend to oxidize, shrink and lose its resiliency faster. It also includes a custom blend of emulsifiers that gently condition and maintain the paint, and does so without a lot of rubbing.
Z-3 Show Car Polish also includes a custom blend of emulsifiers to gently clean, condition and maintain regular paints, which tend to oxidize, shrink and lose their resiliency quicker. Special filling agents for fine scratches, buffing and swirl marks. Optical enhancing additives designed specifically for single stage urethanes, lacquers, enamels, lucite, emeron, acrylics and older paint formulations. One eight ounce bottle of Z-3 Show Car Polish will yield approximately eight to ten coats on a mid-size car.

Z-5 Polish for Heavy Swirl Marks & Fine Scratches
Description: Darker colored vehicles are prone by the easily visible surface marring or fine scratches from regular maintenance. Z-5 PRO and its micro filling technology gradually reduce the appearance of these surface imperfections without using any abrasives. Without using cheap oils or cheap fillers that merely last until your next car wash, Z-5 PRO protects and lasts like no other product.
FACT: The only way to remove, heavy swirl marks and fine scratches from a clear coated surface is to have the car professionally machine buffed with an abrasive compound. This should be the last resort, as factory clear coat is very thin and you can break through it very easily. Also, most polishes and waxes contain abrasives, they remove some swirl marks but create new swirls. Kind of catch-22. Z-5 is the first non-abrasive polish that will eliminate swirl marks, fine scratches and spidering, without hurting the integrity of the clear coat. It does this in stages, anywhere between 1 to 3 applications. This in itself is a major technological breakthrough. With each application of Z-5 polish, you will see the swirl marks and fine scratches gradually lessen, until the marks are no longer visible. Although this procedure may seem time consuming, the results are well worth it. This is the only way a swirl mark problem should be addressed and corrected.
Z-5 is the safest, most cost effective way of repairing the paint, so to speak. After you are satisfied with the way the paint looks, switch to Z-2 Show Car Polish to achieve an even higher wet-looking, optically perfect paint finish. Follow up with Z-6 "Gloss Enhancer" spray.
Z-6 "Gloss Enhancer" spray should be used between every coat of Z-5 or Z-2. It is an extremely high, optical enhancing product and dramatically increases light refraction and reflection. The results will knock your socks off! All Show Car Polish products are molecular crosslinking and are 100% compatible with each other.
NOTE: For any future swirls or scratches you may get, just reapply Z-5 to the affected area or the whole car if you prefer. Z-5 can be used right over Z-2. They are completely compatible and interchangeable. For the highest optical paint enhancement always follow up Z-5 with a coat of Z-2. One eight ounce bottle of Z-5 Polish will yield approximately eight to ten coats on a mid-size car. |
